Lady Mustangs Suffer Heartbreaking Loss

The McDonald County Lady Mustang soccer team opened the 2018 season in heartbreaking fashion.

After battling the New Covenant Lady Warriors on even terms for the first 79 minutes of their March 23 match at MCHS, the Lady Mustangs allowed a last-minute goal for a 1-0 loss.

Though New Covenant controlled the ball for most of the match, McDonald County goalie Nicole Salas stopped all shots on goal until the Lady Warriors scored in the final minute.

McDonald County's next match is against Carthage on March 29 at MCHS. Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m.
