Republican Central Committee Announces Lincoln Day Event in Neosho

The McDonald County Republican Central Committee has announced its annual Lincoln Day. This year's Lincoln Day will be held at River Ranch Resort in Noel on Saturday, March 17. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with lunch being served at noon. The menu consists of a pulled-pork sandwich, baked beans, coleslaw, blackberry cobbler and a drink.

Lincoln Day is an annual event held around President Lincoln's birthday throughout the state. These events showcase Republican leaders on the local, state and national level. Speakers from past McDonald County Lincoln Days have included Lt. Gov. Mike Parson, Congressman Billy Long, and Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, among others.

Confirmed speakers for this year's event include Rep. Scott Fitzpatrick, Austin Petersen and Courtland Sykes. Rep. Fitzpatrick is a member of the Missouri House of Representatives and currently serves as the chairman of the state's budget committee. Petersen and Sykes are both candidates for U.S. Senate. Other speakers are still expected to confirm. Republican candidates for local office will also be afforded an opportunity to speak.

Tickets are $15 if reserved by March 9 or can be purchased at the door for $20. For more information or to reserve tickets, contact Dirk Deaton at 479-644-4207.
