Stella Senior Center Dinner and Dance -- July 13

The Stella Senior Center will host a dinner and dance on Friday evening, July 13. Ham and beans are on the menu when the doors open at 5:30 p.m. The dance will start at 7 p.m. with "Evelyn and The Outriders" band. There is a cover charge of $4 for the dance. McDonald County Historical Society -- July 15

The McDonald County Historical Society Speaker Series continues at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the Pineville Community Center, located at 602 Jesse James Road in Pineville. Board members Phyllis Chancellor and Lynn Tatum will speak on "Behind the Scenes at the Museum." Light refreshments and door prizes will be available. The speaker series is free and open to the community.

Tiny Tot Contest -- July 21

The McDonald County Fair Tiny Tot Contest will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at the McDonald County High School agriculture building, located directly behind the new fine arts building. Sign-ups will be from 9 to 9:50 a.m. with a cost of $5.

Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church VBS -- July 22-25

Vacation Bible School is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 22, through Wednesday, July 25, for ages 3 to 12 to become "Galactic Starveyors: Discovering the God of the Universe," as participants search the sky and God's word and enjoy snacks, crafts, music and games that are out of this world. The VBS will be held at the Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church, located four miles east of Longview and three miles west of Rocky Comfort. For more information or a ride, call 417-592-2967.

Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club

The Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club holds its monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at Highland Christian Church in Bella Vista, Ark. The program focuses on competitive radio operating and the benefits for public service and emergency communications. For anyone interested in acquiring an amateur radio license, the club also administers FCC exams at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. All meetings and exams are held at Highland Christian Church, located at 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. (Highway 279), in Bella Vista, Ark.
