The April meeting of the Noel Woman's Club was called to order by President Melissa. The Pledge of Allegiance and Lord's Prayer were recited. Roll call was taken with 12 members and one visitor present. Minutes were read by Secretary Debbie and approved. The treasurer's report was given by Bonnie.
Linda's research on the club name shows that it should be Noel Woman's Club, not Women's Club.
There was a discussion about using Robert's Rules of Order for the meetings, and Vicki will send copies of rules to members.
The Spring Bake Sale was held April 21 in front of Harps. All money goes toward community betterment.
Linda presented the scholarship applicants for review, and two Noel girls and one alternate were selected to receive the Noel Woman's Club $250 scholarships for this year. The selections will be announced at the School Awards Assembly in May. The club thanks all who applied.
The donation to the summer ball program was tabled until more information about the progress being made at the ball field can be obtained.
The program for the evening was a silent plant auction. Everyone finalized their bids and left with a plant.
Hostesses for the evening were Vicki and Gladys. The Woman's Club's next meeting will be May 8, and the hostesses will be Linda and Jo. Kimberly Bell will present the program. Everyone is welcome to attend. For additional information, call Melissa at 417-475-3599.
