XC Junior Girls Finish 10th

Kalyn Stetina took 10th place in a time of 10:08.55 to lead the McDonald County girls junior high cross country team at the East Newton Cross County Invitational held Sept. 24 at East Newton High School.

Rounding out the results for McDonald County were Haley Mick, 50th, 11:21.61; Lily Allman, 78th, 11:57.57; Melanie Gillming, 97th, 12:31. 61; Anna Mead, 100th, 12:45.87; Sasha Miller, 109th, 13:03.74; and Destiny Dark, 126th, 13:33.81.

Bylee Wilson of Cassville won the race in a time of 9:20.40.

McDonald County finished in seventh place in the team race. Nixa won the girls' race with 33 points followed by Ozark with 106, East Newton 111, Webb City 111, Carl Junction 130, Neosho 182, McDonald County 199, Sarcoxie 201; Joplin North 218, Spokane 220, Monett 244 and Wheaton 370.

Boys

Dawson Wolff finished in 60th place in a time of 9:48.82 to lead the McDonald County boys. Other results for McDonald County are as follows: Alexis Pedroza, 103rd, 10:26.83; Kaden Keeling, 125th, 10:49.44; Brandon Armstrong, 133rd, 10:54.98; Luis Vaca, 137th, 11:00.86; Garrett Anderson, 140th, 11:04.87; Andres Gonzalez, 141st, 11:05.32; Justin Smith, 148th, 11:13.05; Pierce Harmon, 153rd, 11:18.56; Chase Lucas, 193rd, 12:09.69; Jacob Owens, 200th, 12:25.75; Ethan Pendergraft, 205th, 12:41.47; Patrick O'Brien, 216th, 13:03.58; and Eli Jackson, 223rd, 13:49.08.

Micah Bruggeman of Joplin North was the winner of the field of 228 in a time of 7:55.65.

McDonald County finished in 14th place in the team standings. East Newton won the team title with Spokane second and Nixa third.
