The McDonald County High School junior varsity softball team took second place at the Carthage Junior Varsity Softball Tournament held Sept. 24 at Carthage High School.
McDonald County advanced to the championship game with a 14-0 win over Carthage in the opening round and a 13-1 victory over Joplin in the semifinals.
Webb City defeated the Lady Mustangs 1-0 in the championship game.
