The McDonald County seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball teams opened their 2015 season Sept. 8 with wins over Joplin East Junior High School.
The eighth-grade A team claimed a 25-16, 21-25, 25-17 win while the B team recorded a 25-14, 25-17 win.
In the seventh-grade matches, the McDonald County A team defeated Joplin 25-10, 25-8 while the B team won 25-8, 25-16.
On Sept. 10, the eighth-grade A team improved to 2-0 with a 19-25, 25-21, 25-10 victory. Neosho won the B game 25-18, 16-25, 25-17.
The seventh-grade A team fell to 1-1 with a 25-15, 23-25, 18-25 loss. The seventh-grade B team claimed a 25-12, 25-23 decision.
McDonald County hosted Aurora on Sept. 14 before traveling to Lamar on Sept. 17.
