Sponsorship Banners Fund Improvements

The athletic department at McDonald County High School has begun a fundraising program that offers area businesses a unique way of supporting Mustangs athletics and advertising their business at the same time.

Through the sales of advertising banners, the athletic department will raise money for the improvement of facilities and for the benefit of Mustangs athletes in all sports, said Nick Martin athletic director.

"The money raised will be used in several different areas," Martin said. "We need a top-dresser for all of fields, batting cages for the indoor facility for baseball and softball and anything needed for the new soccer field. We're also going to need some money for banquets. We are catering the banquets this year."

The three-foot-tall by five-foot-long vinyl banners will be hung at one of facilities used during fall, winter and spring sports season. There are several pricing options available.

Cost to be included in all sports seasons will be $400 per year or $600 for two years. Fall sports include football, softball, volleyball, cross country and boys soccer. Winter sports are boys and girls basketball and wrestling. Spring sports are baseball, boys and girls track, golf and girls soccer.

Cost to have your banner displayed during one of the three seasons is $200 per year or $300 for two years. All prices include the cost of the banner.

The banner can include your logo in addition to your business name and location and is available with a variety of colors.

"We think it is a form of pretty cheap advertising," Martin said. "The banners will be seen by a lot of people during each season. They will have a lot of visibility and we hope to sell quite of few so it will look impressive with lots of banners in support of Mustang athletics."

If you are interested in purchasing a banner, contact Nick Martin, athletic director, McDonald County High School at 417-845-3322 (office) or 417-592-3265 (cell) or by email at [email protected].

Winter sports begin Nov. 23 when the boys and girls basketball teams host Gravette.
