VITA Provided Tax Assistance To Over 4,500 People In 2015

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program recently announced it provided free tax assistance for over 4,500 low/moderate income individuals and families during the 2015 tax season.

VITA had offices at the Northpark Mall in Joplin, the Carthage Public Library and the Pineville/Jane American Legion Post 392 in Pineville.

The office space at all three locations was provided at no charge. In addition, McDonald County Internet Service provided free Internet access for the Pineville location. U.S. Bank provided a monetary donation.

VITA is affiliated with SWMO We Care Coalition, a nonprofit organization.
