Christ Reveals Himself By His Miracles

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Mark Alumbaugh welcomed the church. Derrek Woodard and Jeremy Buchite received the morning tithes and offerings after the little children joyfully collected change during the penny drill. Many prayer requests and praises were lifted up, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much, James 5:16. Tara Stephens and Megan Yotter led the worship service with "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing," "There is Power in the Blood" and "He Touched Me."

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. Matthew 27:35

The soldiers gathered at the feet of Jesus, right in front of Him and gambled for His clothes. They were busy with their game and denied any feelings of humanity for the dying man that hung upon the cross. They did not know how the Lord had come into this world to be its Savior, but all they had to do was look up. Christ reveals Himself by His miracles, His Words, and His love...these men were so close to Jesus and yet so far away.

Distractions of this world will take our focus away from Jesus; the things of this world are designed to amuse and entertain but will not give us peace or hope. Only the Lord fulfills the need of our soul. He is our Savior. Jesus came to this world the first time as a suffering servant, bringing us mercy and grace. He will return again very soon, as King of kings and Lord of lords, are you ready? Pastor Scott gave the invitation and Steve Spears dismissed us in prayer.
