V.I.T.A. Representative Coming To SWC Senior Center

A representative from the V.I.T.A. program will be available at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6 at the Southwest City Senior Center to do property tax credit for seniors and those receiving disability. This service is available at no cost.

You will need to bring a copy of income and paid property taxes. If you rent will also need statement from your landlord with their tax ID number or social security number, address and phone number, and you will need to state the amount of rent you pay. Forms are available prior meeting if you would rather your landlord fill one out.

If you own more than five acres of land will also need Form 948 filled out from the assessor's office.

If you did not file the last three years, please call the senior center ahead of time so that we will have the proper forms for those years.

Everyone is encouraged to also join in at 6:30 p.m. for the monthly potluck supper.

The Southwest City Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Daily activities include pool tables, exercise equipment, puzzles and cards. Lunch is served daily at 11:30 a.m.
