'Naturescaping' Class Set For April 18

A naturescaping course for the general public and teachers will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18 at George Washington Carver National Monument near Diamond.

The class is free will cover landscaping from the "ground up." It will include backyard ponds, hummingbird gardens, rock gardens, etc. Everyone will receive tree and shrub seedlings. There will be door prizes of Missouri wildflowers and vines.

Those planning on attending will need to register by calling the Joplin MDC Office at 417-629-3423.
