July 4 Celebration at Powell

Don't Miss the 4th of July Celebration at Powell!

Come and celebrate the 4th of July at Powell at the Brumley and Sons Publishing Grounds (the old Hill and Hollow) on Highway E. The scenery can't be more peaceful or beautiful anywhere. The chow line begins at 5:30 p.m., so come hungry and bring your friends so you can enjoy the delicious grilled food prepared by the Meadors by the 4M Station.

Then you will be ready to enjoy the fantastic band Ozark Wildfire. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, perhaps something to keep the mosquitoes away and here's a tip: a spray bottle of water to provide a mist now and then sure does wonders for the heat.

Enjoy the hayride from the grounds to view the Historic Walking Bridge and the new County Bridge. Then sit back and watch the fireworks extravaganza, courtesy of Bob and Tudy Brumley.

Take the time to renew your Powell Historical Preservation Society membership or join for 2015, buy raffle tickets for the Savage Axis .223 deer rifle with a 9x40 scope. The winning name will be drawn at the ham and bean feed in September. And sign up for door prizes.
