The McDonald County Coalition first began holding a meeting in January 2013. The Alliance of Southwest Mo. received funds to expand their services into McDonald County and formed the coalition. Chelsey Hall, coalition coordinator, was then assigned to this area. She began networking for feedback in McDonald County to learn what the residents would like to see happen.

"The coalition exists for the whole county, not just one town and everyone is welcome every month to the coalition meetings," Hall said.

Hall noted that various programs organized through the coalition served 3,614 McDonald County residents in 2014.

"Highlights for 2014 included a five-year Community Based Child Abuse Prevention grant of $500,000 allowing for a Project Care office in Noel and two staff.," Hall said. "The group was also awarded a $4,997 mini-grant from the Division of Behavioral Health Services increasing the group's impact within the county."

"The slogan, 'One County, One Coalition, One Mission' for the coalition summarizes the focus and vision for those committed to serving families in McDonald County," Hall said. "Please consider joining this grassroots effort to lift up our neighbors."
