This past fall the McDonald County High School FFA chapter had five participants compete in the Southwest District Public Speaking event.
These five speakers and their speaking divisions were as follows: Caleb Jacobs (Missouri Farm Bureau), Wyatt Nelson (Missouri Pet Breeders), Lakin Jackson (Sheep), Sarah Bodine (Pork), and Bethany Stanton (Missouri Cattlemen's).
All of the speakers listed advanced through the Area XI contest and onto the district wide level, held at Missouri State University in Springfield. Here, the students spoke in their respective divisions and did an exceptional job of representing the chapter.
