Shawn P. Pitts, 41, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., sustained serious injuries April 26 when he wrecked his motorcycle on Highway 59, two and a half miles south of Noel, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The highway patrol reported that Pitts was southbound when he ran off the right edge of the road and overturned. The highway patrol's report indicated that Pitts was not wearing a helmet.
Pitts was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
