'Mini Mustang Roundup' Set For April 27

A "Mini Mustang Roundup" will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 27 at the McDonald County Crowder College campus in Jane.

Activities include developmental screenings by Parents as Teachers (three months to five years); immunizations available through the McDonald County Health Department (ages four and up); kindergarten enrollment screenings by appointment (call 417-845-3322, ext. 2219); and vision screenings by the Lion's Club.

Parents will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Crowder College to learn about Crowder programs, GED opportunities and financial aid.

Also, representatives from Head Start, Early Head Start and PAT will be available.

Children will be able to make a fruit kabob, enjoy story time with free books and make and fly a helicopter.

There will be free hot dogs, chips, drinks and cookies. The first 100 participants will get a free T-shirt.

Special guests include "Rowdy the Rough Rider" and "Buckle Buddy."
