Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, of Neosho recently made a couple of appearances at Anderson Elementary School.

FFAA Team members Helen Hale, Jeanne Hale and Judy Brown and rescued dog, Kona, came to visit with the second grade classes about being responsible pet owners, community members and about careers that can be related to this type of service.

They made a second appearance at the Anderson Elementary School carnival on Saturday, April 11. The carnival crew included Jeanne, Helen, and Kona, along with Jill Denefrio, Charlee Denefrio and Hope Simons. They all enjoyed all the fun events and were impressed with the questions and comments from the parents of the children that had been in the classroom presentation.

"It is our belief that as we educate this younger generation in the value of all life it will make for a healthier and move loving world," Brown said. "Our hope is that the ministry we are in with animals will someday not be necessary as far as rescue from all the abandoned and cruel treatment and neglect of animals. Out gratitude goes to all the teachers, children and staff that made it possible for us to be part of such a special time that still has us smiling and ready for the next go round at any school that allows us to visit."

Faithful Friends receives some funding through their thrift store in Neosho, but relies heavily on donations and volunteers. They will be opening a new adoption center outside of Neosho in the next few weeks.
