God Works Great Miracles

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah 6:8

Dennis Yotter welcomed the congregation. The little children collected for the penny drill and Mark Alumbaugh and Jack Harp received the morning tithes and offerings. Pastor Scott led the congregation in prayer for many praises and prayer requests. Trust in the Lord for we are secure in His Mighty Hands. Tara Stephens led the worship service with, "Count Your Blessings" "I'll Fly Away," and "What a Day That Will Be."

Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. Nehemiah 2:17

There was always a watchman on the walls of Jerusalem, so at the first sign of trouble a warning would go forth. Without a wall, the enemy could come from any direction and the people would live in fear. Even though Nehemiah was in captivity, he had compassion on his people in Jerusalem; he knew they were in grave danger. He went to God in prayer and fasting, sincere in his heart to do whatever God would ask of him.

God works great miracles and he uses the humble and willing hearts of men and women to fulfill His will. Satan is always seeking to destroy us, our families, churches and our nation. He seeks to divide man from God by twisting Gods word and making us doubt Him. Too much is at stake to simply close your eyes to the problems of the day and pretend they do not exist. It begins in your heart, knowing we are sinners and God is Holy, knowing He loves us and will always make a way. Dennis Yotter, Steve Spears, Mark Alumbaugh and Ron Allen helped with communion. Pastor Scott gave the invitation and Mark dismissed the congregation in prayer.
