The August meeting of the Noel Woman's Club was recently held in the Fellowship Hall at the Noel Methodist Church.
There was a pretty blue cloth on the table along with a blue flower arrangement. Bonnie and Susie were the hostesses for the evening.
Roll call was, "Something you enjoyed doing this summer." Vacations, gardening and family get-togethers were all good answers.
Bonnie did her usual good job of giving the treasurer's report.
Birthday girls this month were Gladys and Susie.
The members enjoyed a great Italian meal of baked spaghetti, salad, kiwi treats, gooey batter cake and Oreo dessert. Great job girls.
Also, for anyone who enjoys good food, the club is have a bake sale at Harp's Foods on Sept. 20. This is good in two ways -- you get something good to eat and the sales help fund worthwhile projects that couldn't be done without the community support of the bake sales.
The club is also working on a cookbook that will come out in October 2015. Anyone who wishes to submit a special recipe can do so at P.O. Box 242, Noel, Mo 64854.
The club's next meeting is at 7 p.m. Sept. 9. Retha Mitchell will be the guest speaker talking about murders in McDonald County. Everyone is invited.
