Dancers from Anderson Dance Academy recently attended the Talent On Parade National Competition in Kansas City. The group of 18 dancers performed 16 dances at the week-long competition. They competed against 73 studios from across the nation.

The dancers were up against some stiff competition, but showed they had what it took to make the Parade Of Champions Dance Off three separate times and place at the national level with their groups "Stones" placing second overall; "Bad Girls" placing second overall; and "North Country" placing fifth overall.

The dancers came back with many more honors including 10 national overall places, judges awards, category cups and scholarships. But it wasn't just about competing. The dancers, teachers and parents made time for fun, going to Skyzone, swimming and having dinner as a group was at the top of the list. The company dancers start in August and recreational dancers start in September working on technique and choreography for competition and recital.

This will be ADA's 20th year of teaching the art and the love of dance.
