Baseball Skills, Evaluation Camp Set For April 26

The McDonald County High School baseball program will host a skills and evaluation day from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the MCHS baseball field.

Baseball players in grades 1-6 will get to experience a professional type tryout. Coaches will test your arm strength, arm accuracy, bat speed, hitting ability, running speed, quickness and much more. Players will then be able to compare their results to other kids at the camp and in McDonald County.

Also towards the end of camp, players will be shown drills and exercises to help improve their skills to become a better player. Players will be given numbers so no names will be posted with scores and results. However, those players who are at the top of some categories will be honored by throwing out the first pitch at a Mustang home baseball game.

All kids can register at McDonald County Baseball Facebook Page or at the scorers table of a Mustang home baseball game. By register by April 19, you will receive a free Mustang Skills and Evaluation T-shirt that can be picked up on day of camp.

Cost of the skills and evaluation day is $25. All proceeds go to support McDonald County American Legion Baseball.
