RELIGION: Lord, What Would You Have Me Do?

It was another beautiful day and a great message from Pastor Bob Cartwright, and we pray you will be blessed by these words of wisdom. The church is so happy with the growth of the assembly. There are wonderfully dedicated people joining the worship. Praise the Lord for his goodness.

The statement that there is no substitute for victory sent a chill down my back. Pastor was making the point that we are fighting a spiritual war. There are those who do not believe, this is one Nation under God. This church family stands for their part of the salute to the American flag. Believers cannot fail to spread the truth and remember that the problems everyone faces often comes because there is no victory.

An uplifting portion of the word is found in 1 Corinthians 1:5-17. Verse 8 says thou shall be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 9 explains how this is accomplished -- it is because people have been faithful unto the fellowship of God's son Jesus Christ. When called into the family of God, it is to be without division among the brethren and have the same mind perfectly joined together. This is how the victory is won. Everyone shall forever proclaim the teaching of the cross, the Savior being crucified and rising again on the third day. The world has been confounded by the ways of our faith and will not surrender to a life of being saved from a terrible devil's hell. They find no victory in the end of this life.

Everyone should be as Christ on the cross as he spoke these words, "Father into thy hands I commit my soul." It takes giving your all to the Lord to find that precious peace and victory. Most everyone has heard of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish but have everlasting life." He died for all who choose to follow the words of the Bible and the commandments therein.

Romans 12:1-2 makes sure that we know to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is the perfect will of God. People cannot be conformed to the world but be transformed by taking on a new mind that can prove what is a good and acceptable way of life. It is so simple to become a Christian, but everyone makes it seem complicated. Due to not having studied the word and not having victory over the carnal body. The first step is to ask the Lord, "What would you have me do?" The answer is always found in His word.
