The McDonald County seventh- and eighth-grade football teams sweep a doubleheader on Oct. 3 at East Newton High School.
The seventh grade claimed a 14-6 win over the Patriots.
Adrian Silvester got the Mustangs on the scoreboard with a 49-yard touchdown run.
Anthony D'Amico scored the game-winner on a 22-yard run. Trey Hardin added the two-point conversion.
Eighth Grade
Destyn Dowd threw two touchdown passes and ran for another to lead the eighth grade to a 32-0 win.
Dowd threw 25 yards to Tucker Walters and 18 yards to Sam Barton while adding a one-yard run. Jordan Scholz scored the Mustangs' other touchdown on a nine-yard run.
Barton added a pair of two-point conversions. Jayce Hitt and Josh Pacheco had one each.
McDonald County hosts Cassville on Oct. 10. Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m.
