Eye Exams Offered

Triad Eye Institute will conduct eye exams beginning at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18, at McDonald County Senior Center in Noel. All seniors are welcome. Please contact Louine Gardner at 417-475-3511 for more information.

Stella Senior Center -- Dinner and Dance

The Stella Senior Center will host a dinner and dance beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 19. The center will serve an Easter Ham Dinner, with dessert and drink, as a benefit for the center. At 7 p.m., dance to music by "The McDonald County Country Band." There is a $5 cover charge for the dance. Call 417-628-3314 or 417-476-3079 for information.

American Legion -- Benefit Dinner

Pineville/Jane American Legion Post 392 will serve its third Friday benefit dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Legion building located on Jesse James Road, next to Cornerstone Bank in Pineville. The dinner will be prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary and will feature, baked ham, potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, dessert and drinks. A donation of $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under is requested. All are welcome and carry outs are available.

Music And Potluck

The McDonald County Senior Center will host a potluck dinner beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, April 20, at 624 Johnson Drive in Noel. Music will be provided by "The Tar Top Travelers." Remember to bring a dish.

Southwest City Library Gardening Class

"Gardening in small places" is being offered by the Southwest City Library as part of the adult programming outreach. Karen Benson, Gravette Public Library supervisor, will be showing different types of small space gardening at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 23. Registration is required. Pineville -- Lunch on the Square

Bunker Hill Quilt Club will be serving lunch on the square beginning at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29. Menu will be enchiladas or cheeseburger casserole, salad, desserts, and ice tea for a donation. We look forward to seeing you at the Concession Stand on the square. Thank you for your support.

Surplus Book Sale

The McDonald County Library will hold a surplus Book Sale the week of May 6 in the community room of the Main Library located in Pineville, 808 Bailey Road. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11. On Wednesday and Thursday, select items will be half-price, and Friday and Saturday will allow customers to fill an entire bag for only a dollar. Sale pricing: hardcover books $1; children's hardcover books $.50; softcover books (trade paperbacks) $.50; mass market paperbacks for children or adults $.25; DVDs $2; CDs $2; audiobooks on CD $2; audiobooks on cassette $1; coffee table and specialty books priced as marked.

All of the money raised will be used to support the work of the Library for 2019. This is a community event and library staff and volunteers work hard to sort, organize and promote the sale. No donations are needed at this time.

Annual Noel All-School Reunion

The annual Noel All-School Reunion will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the Noel Elementary School. this is for anyone who ever attended Noel School. Please spread the word to family and friends. Doughnuts and finger foods will be provided throughout the day, as well as coffee and water. Senior Center Serves Lunch

The McDonald County Senior Center, located at 624 Johnson Drive in Noel, serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. All seniors are welcome.
