McDonald County Senior Center -- Sept. 6

The Senior Center will conduct a foot clinic for all seniors beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6. An appointment is needed. The McDonald County Senior Center is located at 624 Johnson Drive in Noel. The Senior Center also serves lunch five days per week from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and all seniors are welcome. Stella Senior Center -- Sept. 7

The Stella Senior Center will host a dinner and dance Friday evening, Sept. 7. The doors open at 5:30 p.m., with spaghetti and meatballs on the menu. The music starts at 7 p.m., with "The McDonald County Country Band." There is a cover charge of $4 for the dance. Refreshments are available all evening. For information, call 417-628-3314.

The Senior Center is having an inside yard sale on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7 and 8, with all proceeds going to support the Oat's Bus Inc. The McDonald County Senior Center will host a dinner and music, with the potluck dinner to begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. Music will be provided by "The Tar Top Travelers." Sewing Basis class at Southwest City Library -- Sept. 20

The Southwest City Library is hosting a Sewing Basics class from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20. Skilled seamstress, Deborah Murphy, will display various sewing techniques like how to sew on a button, mastering a running stitch, hemming and other skills. The class teaches the beginning basics of "needle and thread." The class is free but registration is required. Call 417-762-7323, or stop by the Southwest City Library to reserve a spot.

Book Page Flower Class at Pineville Library -- Sept. 25

The Pineville Library is offering a "Book Page Flower" class at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25. Barbara Simpson will instruct how to make flowers from the pages of a book and display them in a lovely arrangement. An example is at the Pineville Library. Bella Vista Women's Chorus

The Bella Vista Women's Chorus invites singers from the Tri-County area to join them. All are welcome, with no tryouts or experience needed. Directed by Larry Zehring, the chorus performs classical, pop, folk and show tunes for local clubs and events. Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club

The Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club holds monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at Highland Christian Church in Bella Vista, Ark. The program focuses on competitive radio operating and the benefits for public service and emergency communications. For anyone interested in acquiring an amateur radio license, the club also administers FCC exams at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. All meetings and exams are held at Highland Christian Church, located at 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. (Highway 279), in Bella Vista.
