Eighth-Grade Girls Win Big

The McDonald County eighth-grade girls' basketball team closed out its regular season with a 30-10 win over Monett.

Kloe Myers led the Lady Mustangs with 12 points. Rounding out the scoring were Nicole Estrada with six points, Abigail Wiseman and Madeline McCall with four each, and Madison Grider and Adasyn Leach with two each.

McDonald County added a 4-2 win in the B game behind two points from Alexes Gidcumb and Joa Sohl.

McDonald County is now 7-6 for the season entering this week's Big 8 Conference tournament in Mount Vernon.
