The McDonald County junior high baseball team split a pair of games at the Miami Festival on April 8 at Miami High School.
McDonald County opened with a 9-4 win over Grove Red. Jackson Behm got the win with three innings of work on the mound. Cade Smith and Koby McAlister each pitched an inning in relief.
Sampson Boles led the offense with three hits. Trent Alik and Omar Manuel each had one hit.
Grove White no-hit McDonald County on the way to a 14-0 win in the Mustangs' second game. Marvin Iohp took the loss, pitching an inning and a third.
McDonald County was at Gove on April 12 before returning home on April 14 to host Jay. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
