Lady Lions Growl Past Lady Mustangs

The Gravette Lady Lion golf team claimed a 147-156 win over McDonald County on Aug. 28 at Elk River Golf Course in Noel.

The top three scores from each team counted toward the team score. McDonald County had five golfers on its team, while Gravette had four.

Leading the way for the Lady Mustangs was sophomore Lily Allman with a 45. Fellow sophomore Anna Mead added a 52, while freshman Jolie Still had a 59.

Also competing for McDonald County were freshmen Kylea Meador and Lundyn Trudeau.

The Lady Mustangs were at the Marshfield High School Girls Golf Tournament on Sept. 4 and at the Joplin High School Girls Golf Tournament on Sept. 5 before taking on Cassville in a dual at the Cassville Golf Course on Sept. 6.
