McDonald County's Lily Allman has one more tournament left in the school's first season to have a girls' golf team.

That tournament is the Missouri Class 2 Girls Golf Championships slated for Oct. 15-16 at Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City.

Allman earned the right to compete at the state championships by finishing in a tie for sixth at Monday's Missouri Class 2 Sectional 3 Girls' Golf Tournament at Shifferdecker Golf Course in Joplin.

Allman fired a 17-over-par 88 on a tough Shifferdecker course, made tougher with a high, rough and strong south wind.

Susannah Reagan Blackwell and teammate Wriley C. Hiebert of Springfield Glendale tied with Jenna Teeter of Carl Junction for individual honors with 78s. Kourtney Victoria Tucker was fourth with an 86, followed by Audrey Collier with an 87 and Allman, Elizabeth Grace Foreman of Ozark and Gracie Hofheins of Sedalia with 88s.

The top 12 individuals and ties earned a berth in the state championships. Four players tied for the final state qualifying spot with 93s.

Glendale shot a four-man total of 345 to win the team title, and Ozark scored second with a 371.
