Lily Allman Finishes In Top Half

McDonald County sophomore Lily Allman finished in the top half of the field at the Missouri Class 2 Girls Golf Championships held Oct. 15-16 at Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City.

Allman shot a two-day total of 177 over the Par 72 course, made tougher by 11 inches of rain in the week before the tournament along with frost delays on both days of the tournament.

Allman's 33-over-par total earned her a tie for 40th place in a field of 90. She was tied for 28th after shooting an 86 on the first day but fell back 12 spots with a 91 on day two.

Megan Propeck of Notre Dame de Sion won the Class 2 state title with a five-under-par 139, including a 68 on the second day. Brooke Bierman of Lafayette was second with a 143 and Claire Solovic was third at 147.

Allman's local rival, Jenna Teeter of Carl Junction, tied for 12th place with a 162 total.

St. Joseph's Academy won the team title with a four-person total of 627 over the two days to beat Notre Dame de Sion by four strokes.
