James C. Headley Sr.

James "Jim" C. Headley Sr., 76, of Goodman, Mo., died Friday, May 4, 2018, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Bartlesville, Okla., to Rex and Marian (Barnett) Headley. He joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1960. He worked many jobs before moving his family to Noel in 1975, where he went to work for Hudson Foods, then Tyson Foods for more than 25 years. He enjoyed cooking, reading and collecting cookbooks, woodworking and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jane Street and Kay Story; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Sheri White (Kenneth) of Noel, Mo., James Headley Jr. (Mary) of Anderson, Mo., Shelli Pendergraft (Robert) of Goodman, Joe Headley (Billie) of Neosho, Mo., Jennifer Linton (Brian) of Goodman; and 17 grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, at the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Ark., with Rev. Bob Holloway officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home.

Norman Gene Law

Norman Gene Law, 89, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., died Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.

He was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Kiowa, Kan., to Everett Adam and Lettie (Barker) Law. On March 14, 1955, he married Wanda Haney. He was a hardworking farmer and of the Assembly of God faith. He enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle. He was in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Garrell Law; a sister, Marie Biven; and six brothers, Verlin, Ernest, Amos, Don, Fred and Harvey Law.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Wanda Law of the home; a son, Bill Law of Grove, Okla; four grandchildren; two sisters, Bernadine Leslie of Washington and Oni Tyler of Grove, Okla.; and a brother, Jake Frost Law of Tyler, Texas.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Wann Cemetery near Sulphur Springs, with Timothy O'Brien officiating.

Rita Louise McCarty, 66, of Stella, Mo., died suddenly Monday, April 30, 2018, in the comfort of her residence.

She was born March 27, 1952, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Marvin and Anna (Ridenoure) Skaggs. She was raised and attended school in Springdale, Ark. On July 18, 1967, she married Dwaine Lavon McCarty. They resided in Cave Springs, Ark., before moving to a farm in Stella. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her home.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband of 50 years, Dwaine McCarty; and one sister, Valerie Skaggs.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin McCarty (Steffanie) of Gentry, Ark., Cody McCarty of Stella and Travis Skaggs (Kristen) of Neosho, Mo.; seven grandchildren; her mother, Anna Mae Snodgrass of Hindsville, Ark.; two sisters, Kim Green of Hindsville and Cheryl Koester of Bartlesville, Okla.; and four brothers, Larry Ridenoure of Republic, Mo., Johnny Skaggs of Pea Ridge, Ark., Marvin Skaggs of Elm Springs, Ark. and Randy Skaggs of Brentwood, Ark.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 4, 2018, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Bobby Main officiating. Burial followed in the Union Cemetery near Stella.

Patricia "Pat" Mustain, 63, of Jane, Mo., died May 1, 2018, at her residence.

She was born July 19, 1954, in Dermott, Ark., to George and Ilene (Hubler) Napier. She was a resident of McDonald County, Mo., for 40 years. She married Kenny Mustain July 19, 1980. For several years she was employed by Oxford Healthcare. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Jane.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Kenny Mustain; and three siblings, Tommy, Dewey and Wanda.

Survivors include four sons, Jeff Napier (Robbie) of Anderson, Mo., Tom Leach of Jane, Charlie Leach (Cassandra) of Jane and Mikal Mustain (Elsie) of Noel, Mo.; a granddaughter, Mikala Mustain of the home; 11 grandchildren; and three sisters, Barbara King of Cave Springs, Ark., Laura Kozial of Centerton, Ark. and Leanna Napier of Rogers, Ark.

Funeral services were held graveside Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Union Cemetery near Stella, Mo., with Brother Hank Gorman officiating.
