A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Bella Vista man on Monday evening.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Route E, seven miles east of Jane.

Reports indicate 24-year-old Hayden S. Harrison was traveling southbound in a 2002 Ford F250 when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned down an embankment.

Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene by McDonald County Deputy Coroner John Fletcher.

Reports state Harrison was not wearing a safety device.
