MCHS Powerlifters Take Third Place

RICK PECK/SPECIAL TO MCDONALD COUNTY PRESS McDonald County High School took third place in the Junior Men's Division and fifth place in the Men's Division at the Belton High School Powerlifting Meet held Saturday at Belton High School.

The McDonald County High School powerlifting team took third place in the Junior Men's (freshman/sophomore) Division and fifth place in the Men's (junior/senior) Division at the Belton High School Powerlifting Meet held Saturday at Belton High School.

Kansas City North won the Junior Men's Division with Liberty North taking second, followed by the Mustangs. Other schools participating in the meet included Kansas City South, Belton, Kearney, Fort Osage, Harrisonville, Plattsburg, Raymore-Peculiar and Lexington.

Leading the McDonald County results were Corbin Jones, top vertical jump (36 inches), top clean (270 pounds) and Top Overall Athlete (Junior Men's Division); Dylan Allison, top broad jump (8'9" Junior Men's Division); Allison Nicoletti, top squat (315 pounds -- Women's Division) and best three lift total; Oakley Roessler, top pro cone agility (4.12 seconds -- Men's Division); and, Michael Williams, top pro cone agility (4.27 -- Junior Men's Division).
