Three players from the McDonald County High School basketball program were recently selected to the Big 8 Conference all-star teams.

Leading the way for the Mustangs was Cooper Reece. Reece, a 6-5 junior, was named to the Big 8 first team.

Earning second-team honors was Blake Gravette, a 5-11 junior.

Representing the Lady Mustangs was Megan Mills. Mills, a 5-8 senior, was named honorable mention.

Player of the Year for the boys was Ian Moore of Lamar, and for the girls was Caitlin Hicks of Mount Vernon.

Coach of the Year for the boys was Tyler Ryerson of Lamar, and for the girls was Dusty Killingworth of Mount Vernon
