Back To Basics Go Green Meeting

Thursday, March 8, 2018

The McDonald County Back to Basics Community Group meeting will be a "Go Green! -- St. Patty's Day Potluck" beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Since it is just before St Patrick's Day, and the group will be talking about gardening, bring a favorite green dish ... or anything else, including main dishes, sides and desserts. Also, bring your own table service (plates, utensils) to conserve resources. Beverages will be furnished.

Entertainment will be Trilogy, a popular local trio for the group's enjoyment.

The speaker will be Ron Testerman, a local greenhouse owner, who will be discussing, "Gardening in Containers" and more.

Bring a canned or packaged food donation to be given to Crosslines (must be nonexpired and not dented). If everyone brought just one can, the group would have 40 or 50 cans to help feed some hungry folks. The drawing for the monthly door prize will continue, with one entry for the prize for each can or item of food brought.

The McDonald County Back to Basics Community Group (B2B) was formed in 2008 as a grassroots effort to combine education, information, community services, and as a social outlet to support each other in good times and bad. The activity is fun, free and open to everyone, including surrounding communities.
