Fireworks Display Not Taking Place This Year In Noel

The Noel Betterment Association is not hosting a fireworks display this year because of the expense, an official said.

"Unfortunately, with the costs associated, the Noel Betterment Association is not doing fireworks this year," said Denae Murphy, with the Noel Betterment Association.

A Noel City Hall representative said the city also is not hosting a fireworks display.

Both entities are partnering, however, on a First Friday event which will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 6 in downtown Noel.
