Stella Senior Center Dance and Dinner -- July 20

The Stella Senior Center will host a dinner and dance, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening, July 20, with a breakfast buffet. The dance begins at 7 p.m. with "The McDonald County Country" band playing. There is a cover charge of $4 for the dance. For information, call 417-628-3314.

American Legion Dinner -- July 20

The Pineville and Jane American Legion Third Friday benefit dinner will be July 20. The dinner will be prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary and will feature cheddar meatloaf, potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, dessert and drinks. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. A donation of $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under is requested. Everyone is welcome and carry outs are available. The Legion building is located on Jessie James Road next to the Cornerstone Bank in Pineville, Mo.

Tiny Tot Contest -- July 21

The McDonald County Fair Tiny Tot Contest will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at the McDonald County High School agriculture building, located directly behind the new fine arts building. Sign-ups will be from 9 to 9:50 a.m. with a cost of $5.

Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church VBS -- July 22-25

Vacation Bible School is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 22, through Wednesday, July 25, for ages 3 to 12, to become "Galactic Starveyors: Discovering the God of the Universe," as participants search the sky and God's word and enjoy snacks, crafts, music and games that are out of this world. The VBS will be held at the Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church, located four miles east of Longview and three miles west of Rocky Comfort. For more information or a ride, call 417-592-2967.

Huckleberry Run -- Aug. 25

A Poker Run through the Ozarks to benefit the I'm your Huckleberry Animal Rescue is set for Aug. 25. All cars and motorcycles are welcome to participate. Cost is $15 per driver and $5 per passenger. The ride begins at the Walmart in Jane and ends at the Pineville Community Center. Registration begins at 8 a.m. on the south side of the Jane Walmart with the first registered out at 9 a.m. and the last out at 10 a.m. A meal, ice cream, prizes for best and worst poker hands, silent auction and a drawing will be held at the Pineville Community Center. Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club

The Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club holds its monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at Highland Christian Church in Bella Vista, Ark. The program focuses on competitive radio operating and the benefits for public service and emergency communications. For anyone interested in acquiring an amateur radio license, the club also administers FCC exams at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. All meetings and exams are held at Highland Christian Church, located at 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. (Highway 279), in Bella Vista, Ark.
