Noel Woman's Club News

Thursday, July 12, 2018

The Noel Woman's Club meeting on June 12 was a potluck dinner. The hostesses for the lunch were Melissa and Mary. There was some wonderful food for those unable to attend. There were nine members in attendance.

Baskets were made and delivered to the Noel School for its fundraiser by Vicki and Melissa.

Barb is working on getting the books for the foster children in the county. This project is one started by the Missouri First Lady and the club hopes the program will continue.

A report was given by Dot on the money collected at the cemetery this past Memorial Day weekend. Donations were down this year. Those still wishing to make a donation may mail it to Noel Woman's Club, P.O. Box 764, Noel, MO 64854, and the club will get it to the Cemetery Association. Michelle Anderson, a longtime volunteer putting the flags out at the cemetery, will no longer take on this task. The club thanks her for all the years she and her family have been taking care of this project. They have spent so much time and money seeing that the flags were placed.

The club voted to participate in the "First Friday's in Noel" project for July and August.

Barb presented a program on fall prevention and went over the top five causes.

The club's next meeting was held July 10 and the hosted by Gail and Hannah.

The club invites the public to attend one of the meetings and become a part of the club. The club works together to help make Noel a better place all. For more information, call Melissa at 417-475-3599.
