Chamber Launches New Promotional Video

Thursday, July 5, 2018

A new video produced by the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce showcases the area's natural beauty and the amenities offered here.

Chamber officials hope the recently released video will create interest and drive more business to the county.

The video promotes fishing, camping, golfing, enjoying the streams and rivers -- and breathing in the fresh air.

Several local campgrounds and businesses teamed up to partner with the chamber to produce the video.

New McDonald County Chamber of Commerce executive director Charla Brewer said the 10 members of the chamber's Tourism Committee commissioned the video, which was produced by Digital Alchemy.

The one-minute and 15-second video, launched on the chamber's newly redeveloped website, is also posted on the chamber's Facebook page. The video has received more than 13,500 views.

The video can be accessed through social media and Google. Excerpts of the video also will be utilized to promote the area, Brewer said.

The potential is limitless, she said.

Chamber member and Bluff Dwellers Cave owner Ray Bunch said the video will help promote the tourist spots visitors can enjoy here.

Bunch's grandfather, who discovered the cave in Noel in 1925, opened the business two and a half years later. Bluff Dwellers Cave has been in operation for 91 years. Bunch relies on several levels of a marketing platform to draw visitors from across the country, though most travel from the four-state area.

Bunch utilizes brochures, billboards, social media and more to attract all ages.

His audience, which is multi-generational, relies on referrals as well as different marketing outlets for the cave's advertising.

Bunch sees the value in such a video, which highlights the beauty of the area.

"It's pretty cool," Bunch said. "Any exposure to our county is positive."
