Pineville's Bike and Skate Park is prepared for warmer weather following the recent installation of a wooden pavilion.

Mayor Gregg Sweeten said he had been researching structures for the park and, when he saw this pavilion on display at the Tulsa State Fair, the gears in his head began turning.

He collected information on the building and returned to the city council with passion and a proposition.

"The council approved getting it and it was ordered," Sweeten said. "It came with free delivery and was pre-assembled and brought to us."

Pineville is working to continue expansion and improvement of the park before temperatures rise. Sweeten said city employees are in the process of dropping a new water line on the property and hope to have restrooms at the park by spring.
