Chamber Announces 'Best in McDonald County' Winners

Mother Nature may have put a damper on the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce's annual banquet, but she didn't squelch any enthusiasm for voting in some top winners this year. Chamber officials were set to host the annual banquet on Feb. 10 but canceled the event because of expected icy conditions.

Last week, chamber officials released the "Best in McDonald County winners." Winners include the following:

• Best Burger -- Haven 55 in Pineville;

• Best Pizza -- Casey's Pizza in Anderson;

• Best Insurance -- Farmers Insurance Royce-Schutten Agency in Anderson;

• Best Campground -- Big Elk Floats and Camping in Pineville;

• Best Convenience Store -- Stangs in Anderson;

• Best Veterinarian -- Anderson Animal Hospital in Anderson;

• Best Steak -- Haven 55 in Pineville;

• Best BBQ -- JR's BBQ in Pineville;

• Best French Fries -- Burger Time in Pineville;

• Best Feed Store -- Southwest City Feed Store in Southwest City;

• Best Breakfast -- Coopers Café in Anderson;

• Best Park -- Pineville Park in Pineville;

• Winners of Business of the Year -- Mid-Tec, Paul Walker; and

• Volunteer of the Year -- Hometown Bank, Bob Williams
