This Saturday, local church members hope to bring together families for some fun.
Banner Church of the Nazarene members will host "Family Fun Day," a free, faith-based family event for the community from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21.
Pastors Dennis and Charlene Bergen and church members will promote faith, family and fellowship by offering free Barkin' Pig BBQ hot dogs, an inflatable bounce house and various activities for families.
Pastor Charlene Bergen said organizers want to host the event at the Goodman City Park, near city hall, so families can hear the fun taking place and walk to the event.
Goodman City Council members on April 3 approved hosting the event at the park.
Door prizes will be given away every hour. Those who attend will have the opportunity to learn more about various sources in the community, and enjoy music, devotions and Bible study.
