Plan To Succeed -- Are You Making Wise Investments?

We had some very good worship songs this morning. Brother Randy Richardson, "What if Jesus came to your house Today," Brother Daniel Cartwright, "The Old Rugged Cross," and Sister Naomi Cartwright and Sister Geneva Testerman sang, "This is Just What Heaven Means to Me." All were such blessings.

We had some very welcomed visitors, Brother Ted and Sister June, hope I got names right. They fit right into the family. We hope they choose to come again.

The pastor began with a statement concerning how we plan a task. When you fail to plan you plan to fail. Think about it, the best days start with the Lord's plans. If you pray before you begin a day you will find that you will accomplish much.

We live in days that are so uncertain. In II Timothy 3:1-2, we are warned that in the last days perilous times shall come. Why? Because men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. Do you see any of these things in your family? Many are offended by these words but only God's people know that this is the downfall of many. They look at the way they live and change anything that can and will separate us from God.

The Book of II Peter 3:9 reminds us that the Lord is not slack concerning his promise. He is long-suffering to us and not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. So in this world of such evil, Jesus is there to show us a way to repent of our ways and gain eternal life with Him. Read John 3:16 and you will find why we have this blessed promise. The same book in Chapter 8, tells us that if we follow the word of God we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free. Freedom from a life of sin is ours for the accepting.

Matthew Chapter 24 is very informative. Read it all when you can as the signs of the times are there. In verse 4 we read, Just hold fast the word and take heed that no man shall deceive you. We have hope in Christ if only we believe and walk in His footsteps. Hebrews 2:1-3 instructs us to give heed to the things we have heard, lest at any time we would let them slip. Verse 3 is so straight to the point. How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.

Pastor closed with the invitation that Jesus will meet us more than half way if we have a willing heart. Read the word and you will find much help with whatever life sends your way.

God Bless until next week.
