Are You Leaving God Out of Your Life?

We started by wishing Debra and Francis McKenna a wonderful anniversary. Pray God that He will grant them many more.

We were also glad to have Gary and Viola with us; they are just family!

Our message this week is well worth your time. That is, if you feel that perilous times are all around us. It is time that God's people take a stand as never before when we see all the disrespect for God, flag and each other. We have been seeing God left out of so many of our homes, schools and even the very big house that should stand for all that is right. We should be taking the stand and saying, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Do not just blend into the crowd or "go with the flow." This is a very dangerous path to travel. If you remember, Paul's writings to Timothy reminded him that we must fight a good fight and finish the race in the power and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Hosea 4:6, we find that people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. If we are in need of wisdom, we are to ask of the Father and he will give it liberally. But we have to study the Word for the answers that will bring us through the hard times. It is very likely that we will, at some time, trip and fall. Just don't give up!

Hosea 6:1-3 affirms that we can be revived if we ask for guidance from our heavenly Father. Never stay down, because that is exactly where the old evil one wants to see you. If you fail to keep God first in your life, you will soon see the results and they will not be good. Keep your eyes looking upward. The Holy Ghost will always show you the right way if you will listen to that still, small voice.

Joshua 1:1-3 speaks of the great time when the land was given to Joshua. Why? Because Moses had died and the Lord spoke to his servant, that if he would turn to him, arise and go over Jordan, that even the children of Israel would possess the land wherever they would walk just as the promise was made to Moses. Yes, times are uncertain, but we have hope in our Lord who giveth all good. But it is up to us to be strong in the Lord and work toward perfection in his eyes.

In closing, Pastor reminded us again that, if we leave God out of our life, we will for sure reap the results. So we leave you with this thought and pray you will search your inner being and ask, "Am I really keeping our Savior first in my life?"

Come to the Cove anytime on Wednesday night or Sunday night at 6 p.m., or our worship service at 10:30 Sunday morning. You are welcomed with love and encouragement.
