Man Faces Felony Charges After Fatal Accident

A Noel man was charged in connection to a felony DWI resulting in the death of another following a head-on collision earlier this month that left one dead and five injured.

At approximately 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 23-year-old Eh Htoo of Noel was traveling westbound on Highway 90, three miles east of Southwest City, when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a pickup truck driven by 36-year-old Roberto Rosillo, according to police reports.

Rosillo was pronounced dead on-the-scene. An adult female and four male children were transported to various hospitals for moderate to serious injuries.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed against Htoo, when a Missouri State Trooper arrived on the scene and spoke with him, he detected a strong odor of intoxicants on Htoo's breath.

Htoo stated he drank one beer and one shot. A preliminary breath test registered a positive response for alcohol.

After submitting to further field sobriety testing, Htoo was placed under arrest in connection with charges of operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition.

Htoo is scheduled to appear before Judge John R. LePage at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 11.
