Complimentary Eye Screening Nov. 29

Triad Eye Institute will be providing a complimentary eye screening for seniors age 55 and older from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the Southwest City Senior Center at 103 School Street in Southwest City. The screening includes tests for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eyes, external diseases of eyes and lids, and laser vision correction (LASIK).

SWC Senior Center Potluck Dec. 1

The Southwest City Senior Center will hold its monthly potluck dinner at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. A game of White Elephant Bingo will follow. For more information, call 417-762-3652.

SWC Senior Center Serving Breakfast Dec. 2

The Southwest City Senior Center will be serving biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage for $2, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. There will be free hot chocolate and coffee. All are welcome and are invited to stay and watch the parade. For more information, call 417-762-3652.

McDonald County Republican Club Dec. 4

McDonald County Republican Club will meet next at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4. The meeting is hosted by the McDonald County Historical Society and will be held at the Pineville Community Center. As a bonus to the meeting, the club will serve smoked chicken, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, hot rolls, dessert and a drink. Noel Woman's Club Dec. 12

At the November meeting of the Noel Woman's Club, new officers were elected. Melissa was elected to be the new president, and all other officers remain the same. The club thanks Dot for her years of service as president. A vote was passed to continue the annual donation to the McDonald County food bank -- donations to the club help make this possible. The club would like to thank all who purchased a cookbook at the half-price sale and purchased baked goods from the last bake sale. The next meeting will be Dec. 12. Amateur Radio Club License Testing and Monthly Meetings

The Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club offers Amateur Radio license testing through the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). The Amateur Radio Testing sessions are held at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month at Highland Christian Church in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. (Highway 279 North). The Bella Vista Radio Club meets at 11 a.m. on the first Thursday of every month, also at Highland Christian Church. Meetings are open to the public. Bella Vista Women's Chorus Invites Singers

Bella Vista Women's Chorus invites singers from the Tri-County area to join them. All are welcome and no tryouts or experience are needed. The chorus performs classical, pop, folk and show tunes for local clubs and events. Rehearsals are at 12:45 p.m. Mondays in the music room of Bella Vista First United Methodist Church.
