Eighth-Grade Girls Suffer Three Losses Last Week

The McDonald County eighth-grade girls basketball team fell to 3-4 for the season with three losses in three games last week.

McDonald County opened the week with a 16-15 loss at Lamar on Nov. 6.

Kloe Myers made five free throws to lead McDonald County with five points. Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Mustangs were Nicole Estrada with four points and Martha Izazaga and Adasyn Leach with two each.

East Newton handed McDonald County a 23-16 loss on Nov. 7 at East Newton.

Estrada scored five points to lead McDonald County, while Ebenee Munoz had four, Leach three and Myers and Izazaga two each.

McDonald County closed out the week with a 31-15 loss at Mount Vernon on Nov. 10.

Abigail Wiseman led McDonald County with six points, followed by Estrada with four points, Myers and Madeline McCall with two each, and Munoz with one.

McDonald County hosted Aurora on Nov. 13 before entertaining Neosho on Nov. 16.
