An Arkansas couple's recent trip to McDonald's left a bad taste in their mouths.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on March 9, McDonald County Deputy Sheriff Zack Adamson conducted a traffic stop at the Jane McDonald's on Commercial Drive.

In the vehicle, according to reports, Adamson located drug paraphernalia and 90 grams (3.17 ounces) of methamphetamines packaged for distribution.

Jason Pape, 36, of Rogers, Ark., was arrested and charged for trafficking drugs in the first degree. Drug trafficking is a class A felony, punishable by 10 to 30 years or life in prison.

Jason and his wife, Jennifer Pape, 35, of Rogers, Ark., were also charged with being out-of-state fugitives.

Sheriff Mike Hall said the two had oustanding warrants from Benton County, Ark., in connection to additional drug-related charges.

Pape is scheduled to appear before the judge at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 12 for a pre-trial conference.
