McDonald County 18U Sweeps Last Three Games

The McDonald County 18U baseball team won its final three games of the season last week to break the .500 barrier, finishing the year with a 10-9 record.

On June 27 at Cassville, McDonald County swept a doubleheader, winning the opener 11-1 and taking a 6-5 win in the nightcap.

In the opener, Grant Cooper allowed one run in six innings and Boston Dowd struck out two in one inning of shutout relief to lead McDonald County to an 11-1 win.

Ty Shaver, Reece Cooper and Trey Black led the offense with two hits each while Dowd, Joe Brown, Izak Johnson, Charlie Moore, Caleb Curtis had one hit each.

Raygan Bradley picked up the win on the mound in McDonald County's 6-5 victory in the second game.

Shaver and Black led the offense in the second game with two hits each. Dowd, Curtis, Moore and Oakley Roessler added one hit each.

Aurora

McDonald County ended its season on June 28 with a 22-2 win at Aurora.

Moore got the win on the mound for McDonald County.

Dowd had two hits and drove in three runs and Brown had two hits and knocked in two. Caleb Curtis added two hits while Shaver, Black, Johnson, Bradley, Grant Cooper and James King had one hit each.
